D in Phys :-(

Just finished taking it in summer school and I have a feeling I didn't do so well. Does anyone know if I'd have to retake it at the same school or if I could just take it again somewhere else?

Check your school's rules on retaking. I have to retake anatomy. My school will replace the bad grade with my new grade but the old AND new grade will still show up on my transcripts.

Most Schools will let you retake classes for a better grade. They do seem to differ inhow they handle GPA and transcript issues though. I think you would probably be better off retaking the class at your full-time institution.

Based on your SN you're in Los Angeles? I am too so here's my advice.

You can retake the class anywhere you want. If you retake it at your old school or a new school, it will still count as two attempts. Some programs in the LA area will count that against you. Others will just take the higher grade or average both grades. So for application purposes, it doesn't matter where you retake it as long as you take it again. No school will accept a D in physiology so just retake it, aim for an A, and hope for the best.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to take it again at another school in the Fall and aim for the A.

Good luck! I had the same experience the first time around but I was able to retake it and my school replaced the bad grade with my A. Hopefully yours will do the same. :)
