Current WCCCD Nursing Students

I would like to get one or some of the books for the nursing program within the next week just to look them over and start reading up. Of the books from the first semester which book do you use most or refer to most or you would recommend I start with. Thank You.

I'm not asking for the secrets to Fort Knox. Why is it such a secret what goes on with the nursing program?

Have you been to the campus bookstore? Mabye they could tell you.

I know what books are for the nursing program. I wanted to know from someone currently in the program which book I could benefit from starting on. I am looking for something to read over the summer and can not buy all the books at once. Just looking for a little friendly advice from fellow students.

LOL... I'm finishing up Med surg 1 I would recommend starting with the "Fundamentals of Nursing" book its like 9 chapters on the first quiz plus more on the following exam, if it doesnt change. I'm not sure if it will take the WHOLE summer but I would say read those chapters prior to class to have and understanding of whats being taught in lecture. The Nursing office could give u a copy of the tentaive syllabus closer towards the semster so you can know EXACTLY which chapters to read because its not the first 9.. Hope this helps

Thank You very much. I was not able to start this past semester so I am in for fall 2010 and I am just getting anxious. I figure if I am gonna read or "study" this summer it might as well be something that will help me in the first semester. I hear the first 7 weeks is hell. Hope you are doing good and thank you again.

Is there anyone that attended the nw campus for pre-req's and co-req's who can give me a heads up on professors im starting this fall !!!!!!
