Curious about LPN

What do instructors hammer into your skull the most in LPN/LVN school?

and what does the course cover?

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I suppose this would depend on the program that you attend. In my case, instructors instilled into us tactics on answering NCLEX-style questions.

Nursing school doesn't prepare anyone to become a nurse in this day and age; rather, the focus is on getting students to pass state board exams on the first attempt so the school can keep state approval.

PN school is more bedside nursing then theory.

We focused on the body systems. Broke them down each individually in A&P learning how each system functions when an individual is homeostasis.

Then in adult med-surg we learned how diseases affect the systems in the body.. how the are affected.. the s/s... the interventions...

So on and so on for Psych, OB, peds etc.
