CUNY City Tech Spring 2020

Published

Hey All,

Anyone else applying for the Spring 2020 Program?

Hi @B20 Do you know if it's possible to apply to the program for Spring if I am a a current student at a diff. CUNY school? I had reached out to them already but was wondering while awaiting a response.

Thanks! And good luck if you are applying!

Hi @bookish_RN I know in order to apply for CT AAS program you have to be an active student and taking at least one course for one semester at CT before applying. So you won't be able to apply until Fall 2020. Hope this helps!

Hi I have a question, what happens if you registered for ATI TEAS without PSI?

Hey @Alicee M you have to register with PSI in order to take the teas, CT doesn't administers them. The whole process is a Bit confusing but when you purchase the exam from ATI Teas they send you a separate email with the information you need to create an account on the PSI website. My suggestion is once you get that email, call PSI to have them do the process for you and schedule the exam. ATI TEAS site you just purchase the test but PSI administers it, hope this helps.

@Alicee M

I took the TEAS when I applied for the program without checking the instructions I didn't register for the teas through PSI. However, when you're finished with the TEAs use your ATI account and send the result to the school. However, due to this silly mistake I had to pay an extra $30 for ATI to send a copy of the results to the school but it was worth it because of that I had the chance to get in! I hope this helps.

I was wondering if city tech looks at the overall gpa or the preq gpa

Hi @Tanisha95 it's just your 4 classes but you do need to have an overall gpa of a2.5

Do you how the department calculate the preq??

@Tanisha95 they just calculate it based off the grade you given between the four classes

? thank you are you already in the program??

@Tanisha95

Hey, they calculate the 4 classes @B20 was talking about, including (a&p 1, English 1101, math, Psy 1101). However, since the program is super competitive for the few semester I've been hearing the cut off is around 3.4 or so but of course it varies every semester.
