CSULB Spring 2022

Hello everyone!

I couldn't find a forum for this year's pre-nursing students that are applying to CSULB so I made one myself! Anyway, I know I'm not the only one who wants to compare scores or see if their scores are competitive, so here it is...

I'll start it off...

GPA (SCIENCE) : 3.7 = 3.7 pts

GPA (GE) : 4.0 = 2 pts

TEAS OVERALL : 87% = 1.74

TEAS READING : 86% = 1.72

TOTAL POINTS = 9.16 pts

Im planning to retake the TEAS for the THIRD TIME and try to get 90%+ on both, and yes, Chemistry messed me up, ifykyk.

Sorry if my english/grammar is trash, its my lowest score on the TEAS ^_^

DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.. DO NOT LOSE HOPE!! WE ALL GOT THIS ❤️

Did everyone receive a confirmation email upon completing the nursing application? I didn't and I was worried, I might need to do it again.

I did. Maybe check your junk folder? I received it right after submitting it. Also, make sure you're checking the email you listed on the nursing application. That's where they'll send emails to

I found it!!

I wasn't asked to submit transcripts yet, but maybe depending on the person it can vary?

By any chance, did you apply for the Traditional BSN undergrad program at CSULB or are you applying for another pathway? Because I got the same email as the others in which we are to send in transcripts/official documents when the school requests it.

This was one of my follow up email to send in my official transcripts. I crossed off the names of the schools in the picture. My application confirmation email was sent on 8/6 and this email was sent on 8/25. Honestly I wouldn’t worry too much because I guess it’s a case-by-case or if they want additional information depending on what type of applicant you are. E9CFE6F2-9308-4EF9-8DA9-BD967EA24A98.thumb.jpeg.0c8fdfb106ad254a2204633aa77b7afd.jpeg

I think it's different because you're a post-baccalaureate applicant. Whereas, I'm still completing my BA and I'm an undergrad applicant from CSULB

yeah, I wouldn’t worry much since you got your confirmation already! I’m sure if they need something they’ll contact you ?

Not sure...I'll try to contact enrollment services too. Please let us know if you get a response! Hopefully we'll know ASAP so we can just edit our supplemental application before the 21st.

Hey! So I talked with a counselor, and she told me to just put down any Chemistry class you took as long as it is a general/organic/inorganic/integrated. It doesn't matter which one you took first and how long ago you took it.

Also, regarding transcripts, she told me that those who are applying as undergrads, they aren't asking for transcripts yet. They will ask for transcripts after reviewing your supplemental application. (btw, be very accurate with the application!).

So I should just put down 4.5 units instead of 9 right? Since I should just listing 1 of the 2 Chemistry courses that I took to fulfill the Chemistry requirement.

Unless the 2 Chemistry courses are counted in a series, then you just need to put down only one course.

Okay, thanks for letting us know! I'll just list my organic Chemistry class ?

Hi! Where can you access CSULB's point system?

Hi guys, I'm struggling in deciding which TEAS attempt score to send in. I'm having trouble figuring out how strictly they count the Reading portion of the TEAS. I'm in a situation where in my first attempt, I have a high reading score, and an overall score that I would consider okay but not competitive. In my second attempt, my score for all sections other than Reading went up *increasingly* but somehow I scored very low in Reading. My overall score in my second attempt is good but the reading is super low. It's upsetting since I scored so high in math and science the second time though. What do you think I should do?
