Alright sweet im gonna get right to that! There is one on November 19th, deadline to register is tomorrow 5p.m. The next test after that will be conducted in February.

Are all students required to take the WPE? This is the first I'm hearing about it.

Yes, it's a graduation requirement. If you are a transfer student they send you an email with more information but the dates book up quickly. I would get it out of the way now.

Hi everyone...long time lurker first time posting (at least on this thread). I may have met some of you at the communication exercise already and look forward to meeting the rest of you at the orientation :) Congrats on admission to everyone, all of our hard work has paid off!

I also haven't heard about the GPE and I wonder if it's because I'm a transfer/second degree. I'm reading over the policies page and I'm not clear on whether or not I need to take it.

@jayrow I asked a friend who was also a transfer he said the school will email you information about it later on you're suppose to take it before your first semester? Before or within your first semester

Directly off the link below:

Transfer students should take the GPE before they enroll at CSULB, but they must take it no later than their first semester of enrollment. Students who do not take the GPE by these deadlines will have a registration hold placed on their records.

I missed it guess I'm taking it on 12/2

For those of you who accepted the offer already and are receiving financial aid. I got the email from CSULB that my financial aid package was ready and I logged into the MyCSULB portal to view it, however, I noticed that the only thing there are loan opportunities. No Pell grant, cal grant, EOP grant, or any other type of aid. I know I have a low EFC (0000), and I have always been awarded grants at the CC that I am at. Does anyone know if these get added later, or should I get a hold of the Financial aid at CSULB and see why I was only offered loans?

I actually haven't even gotten a notice from financial aid regarding my financial aid package. There were also no financial aid packages present in mycsulb. Do some of you guys have it already?

I got mine. (Ouch)
