Jun 29, 201412 yr Hey everyone, I want to apply for csulb nursing program for spring 2015 cohort, is there anybody here who is applying for spring also? Do you think spring cohort is easier to get in?
Aug 22, 201412 yr Author Thanks Joe Friday! Also I think that a 9.63 is an AMAZING score!Sadly, I have to say that I only have a 9.174 I was so disappointed when I saw that I got a B in physiology, and now I'm even MORE upset to see that it made my score go down sooooo much. But that also makes me wonder, at SFSU, we took lecture and lab separately, so if I got a B in lecture and an A in lab, what would be the grade that they use for that class?Your score is not bad , hopefully we all get accepted , I've heard that the spring cohort is easier to get in or at least it's not as competitive as the fall cohort. The applications are less than fall. So we cross our fingers
Aug 23, 201412 yr Hey guys quick question. When do we send in our nursing supplemental app? I know its due by Sept 15th, but after we send in our transcripts and stuff to the admissions office, do we have to wait for them to notify us before we send in the nursing supplemental app, or could we send it in at any time?
Aug 23, 201412 yr I believe you can apply to the Nursing School as soon as you get your campus ID number. It should be listed in the upper right corner of your Application Acknowledgment email you received after submitting your CSU MENTOR application. I am just submitting everything to the SON ASAP; EXCEPT that I am holding off on sending updated transcripts to the Admissions office until they ask for the supplemental App next month. The Nursing Department will not even START going through Nursing applications until after the deadline, and you will have submitted everything to necessary to Admissions by then. The Nursing offices and the Admissions office are not in great communication with each other. I was still receiving tons of packets and information from the school long after I was turned down by the nursing department….lol (and I was NOT on the wait-list)This happened at Channel Islands as well…lol
Aug 23, 201412 yr Newcomers, please copy and paste the list with your score added… Thanks ------------------------------Joe Friday - 9.63Jawkee - 9.44Angel_12 - 9.31Nairb0888 - 9.21Tashiamevans - 9.17Shinfo - ???

Sorry I am a little confused. The supplemental application is this right?http://www.csulb.edu/colleges/chhs/departments/nursing/docs/BasicBSNApplication-Spring2015v1fILLIN.pdfI found it on the CSULB nursing website. Along with that form, we also send in our official transcripts to the school? I'm kind of confused when you said you're sending in your transcripts at a later time, as I thought the transcripts were part of the supplemental app we send in?
Aug 23, 201412 yr No, that is the Nursing Program application. The supplemental application is for admission to the university. Next month they will ask us to complete the supplemental application (this is done on-line, not a paper form) and to send in all transcripts. The school holds transcripts for one semester, so I only have to submit the updated transcripts. And, I will wait until they ask us to submit the supplemental application before I send in the updated transcripts. As for the SON, I will be turning in that application with my updated scripts this week. And I was saying.... I believe you can submit that nursing app (with transcripts) to the SON as soon as you receive your ID number from the admissions email. But do not send in scripts to the Admissions office until they ask you for them.
Aug 24, 201412 yr Oh ok that makes sense now sorry I just confused myself haha. Thanks for the info Joe! I'll probably be turning in my SON app this week as well!
Aug 26, 201412 yr Hey guys, do you know what address to send our TEAS transcripts to CSULB? It says "Ship to" then first name and last name. What do I put there and what's the shipping address? Thanks everyone! Good luck to all of us.
Aug 26, 201412 yr I read somewhere that you are only allowed to apply for the csulb nursing program 2 times. Does this include if you decide to apply again after you have already gotten a bachelors in a different major?ALSO, I have contacted the son and they have cleared up the whole rating thing for me and I have corrected my score to be 9.244 so the list should now be this:Joe Friday - 9.63Jawkee - 9.44Angel_12 - 9.31Tashiamevans - 9.244Nairb0888 - 9.21Shinfo - ???
Aug 27, 201412 yr This means you can only apply to the NURSING program twice. In other words, if you get rejected the first time you apply--like me, for the Fall cohort--you can apply only one more time. This is the second--and last--time I am eligible to apply for the Nursing Program.
Aug 27, 201412 yr I have a question. I'm trying to apply for Spring 2015 on the CSUMentor application, but it won't let me because I'm considered a lower division student. On the transfer website though, it does say that CSULB is closed to lower division transfers with the exception of a limited number of Nursing students. How can I be considered a nursing student if I'm applying to get INTO nursing? Has anyone ever had this problem?
Hey everyone,
I want to apply for csulb nursing program for spring 2015 cohort, is there anybody here who is applying for spring also? Do you think spring cohort is easier to get in?
