CSULB Fall 2014

Hey everyone!

Did anyone else apply to CSULB for Fall 2014? The school app was due last Saturday, and then we have the month of January to submit for the School of Nursing.

Based on previous threads, it looks like we are invited to an interview about a month after the deadline, and the cutoff was ~9.1 points.

Here are my stats so we can see how we stand this year!

Science GPA: 3.58

GE GPA: 3.77

TEAS: 97.3

TEAS Math: 100

I think that works out to about 9.4 points... the average keeps rising each year, so it would be nice to see where we all fall!

Good luck everyone :)

Hi everyone,

I am also applying for Fall 2014. I am very worried as I just saw that the cutoff for last fall was 9.15 and I am barely over that because I have one course in progress which will be counted as a C :( Hopefully this year isn't as competitive, It looks like many of you have great scores, GOOD LUCK!! :)

My stats:

Science GPA: 3.47 (3.47)

Non-science GPA: 3.69 (1.845)

Teas Math: 100 (2)

Teas Overall: 93.3 (1.866)

Total: 9.18

Let me know what you guys think!

Hi everyone! I have also applied for Fall 2014. I'm a transfer student from a local community college so csulb is by far my first choice!

my stats are:

science gpa: 4.00

nonscience gpa: 3.96

overall teas score: 82.0%

teas math: 93.3%

I calculated my score and it is approximately 9.486. I'm hoping That's good enough!

I'm planning on applying for Fall 2014, but I'm still waiting for my transcripts to come in... Judging from last year's cut-off, I don't think I'm going to make it, but I'm going to apply in case a miracle happens!

Science GPA: 3.28

Pre-Req GPA: 3.75

Overall TEAS: 92%

Math TEAS: 96.7%

Judging from those scores, my score should be an 8.929 which isn't competitive whatsoever. :/

Ended my Anatomy, Physiology, and Statistic classes with 89%s... I'm still kicking myself over it!!

Praying that somehow the applicant pool is far less competitive this year!

Well last year was the only semester in years that had a minimum score @ 9.14. They accepted those in the high 8's most of the other years,,,

True, the Fall 2013 admits did have ridiculously high scores... hopefully this year isn't as competitive! I already applied to GWC's program as a backup and will apply to LBCC as well, but CSULB is my dream nursing school!

Congrats everyone on your scores!!! I am also applying. My total is 8.849 :( which isn't competitive especially with the stats from last year. I'm really hoping the average isn't too high this year. Good luck!!! I think you all have a very good chance! :)

I just got an email letting me know they received my application! Phew that's really nice for the worry bots like me! Good luck everybody :)

Well, I went in today and turned in my application packet....

I thought it would take a while for her to get to mine, being so late in turning it in....

NOPE, she had it open and was going through it as soon as I handed it to her... I was just gonna ask if I got accepted right there...lol

Who did your turn your application into? I just turned it in at the main office in this little box, with the rest of the pile of applications. No one was looking at them as we turned them in.....

I went to the Nursing building, and turned left. I saw --------------'s office door.. It said OPEN. I opened it and she was sitting right there with a fold out table. I said I had my app. she grabbed it, said thank you, and ripped it open...lol

Has anyone tried calling the nursing dept? I've been trying to call and it doesn't even ring.

Ya, you just have to call at the right time.... I have called and gone straight to a machine that doesn't accept messages, and I have called and got through to director also.... It's a crap shoot
