Wondering if anyone is in the bsn program, planning to attend, or completed? I will start in Fall 2007 and I am doing 100% online courses.
Thanks.

I have a question about this program as well. Plan to start in Spring 08 but when I search classess it seems like they aren't always offering the level 300 (302, 306, 315, 345) courses that you need to take to start. Have you (or anyone) had trouble getting the classes in order of need?
I had an instructor who did her BSN (and now MSN) there and said it was VERY doable and would be probably less stressful than even working while doing the ADN... She handled a full time load with full time work as well during the BSN (MSN she had to do half time - too demanding)

Many, many years ago I found a class schedule and became interested in this program. When I decided to look into it further, I found that they had cut back drastically on places offering the classroom courses. Some people may not want to take everything online, so this makes it more inconvenient. It seems to me that the program was a lot more accessible and doable when they offered classroom courses in more locations in the state. JMO.

Hello everyone,
i was enrolled in CSUDH online program as the classroom options were too far away for me to attend. i had no problem enrolling in classes, the first class you have to take is easy. I found plusses and minuses.
Plusses:- i did not have to physically attend a class. We had a blackboard for online chat and message board where the instructor would post our assignment due dates and she was available via emal or phone.
Minuses:- This online version did not work for me. I felt sometimes it was unfair if you were in a group and if one person failed to participate in the assisgments then all of us would lose the points ( which were cumulative). No tests but a lot of paperwork and a term paper which you can submit online. One had to be discipline to study on your own without the habit of attending a classroom.
Also a friend of mine who completed this program attending the every other weekend class sessions and said that it was better. She did however have to find her own preceptor and site for her clinical rotations.
If i had the time and money i would re-enroll in the program. So i do recommended.

I registered today but I am doing it all online so the classes were available. The advisor told me to take 302 and 340 the first semester and then pick 1 or 2 other classes depending on full-time or part-time.
The program is still confusing to me though...
Thanks very much for your info. I spoke with X at CSUDH via email. X acknowledges that the site and info isn't easy to navigate. My concern at this point is I want to take 3 or 4 classes each term and from the info I have seen it doesn't appear that they offer them all each term. I know you have to complete the 300's before you move on. Did you do any of the informational phone meeting that they offer?
Have you estimated a total cost yet... if you don't mind me asking. I thought it would be about $12,000 or so plus books.
Good luck and keep me posted on your progress!
It might be close to that amount, I registered for 4 classes and the total was 1562 and I still have to buy the books.
