Starting a thread for those applying to CSUCI for the Fall 2020 cohort. Channel Islands is my first choice as I am a pre-nursing student there and I love the school. Very nervous about this as they will be doing interviews this time around plus we don't exactly know what their scoring criteria is.
My Stats:
TEAS 85.3%
4.0 GPA
over 200 hours of volunteer time
current CSUCI student
Good luck to everyone who is applying. Let us know if you have any more information on their selection process.

Hello!
I am also applying as well. CSUCI is my second choice.
My stats:
Teas: 89.2
cumulative gpa: 3.86
over a 1,000 hours of cna experience
not a current CSUCI student
Anyone hear anything about interviews or any other info?

No, I haven’t received anything. I think we are going to hear back in March.

Has anyone heard anything or know about the timeline of interviews and acceptances? Good luck everyone.
I've not heard anything. Last year they were sending acceptance letters on March 22. However, I am not sure when the application deadline was last year. I think it might have been mid-February but really not sure.

I emailed the admissions dep a question regarding my application, also asked when notices will be sent out. And they told me that the nursing department told them that admission decisions will be sent out sometime in April. Grrr I hate playing this waiting game. ?

April ?... I thought notices would go out around mid March/early April- at least that's what was said during one of the info sessions I attended. Did they mention anything about how the COVID-19 outbreak will affect the interview process?

Yeah I thought so too! I was really hoping for some news at least by the last week of March. It seems like they give us different info everytime LOL.
They didn't mention anything regarding COVID-19; however I am sure they will implement some guidelines. I did my interview last week with CSULB and they are allowing students to reschedule if they get sick. Maybe CSUCI will do the same.
Uhhggg, April? I hope we hear something about interviews before end of March
Could they switch to online interview so the process goes faster? That’s what I did for UCI and CSUF.

I think they will have to switch to online interviews or drop them as the campus is now directed to go completely online for the remainder of the semester. They are not even allowing clubs to meet.
I am taking all general ed classes this semester so do not have any labs. Feel sorry for those in labs. Wonder what the current nursing students are going to be able to do with their clinical rotations?
