Csn 2017 spring program

U.S.A. Nevada

Hi, new to posting. I've noticed there wasn't anything on here for people hoping to start the nursing program in spring 2017. So I figured I start one. I know it's the last semester before CSN starts requiring CNA license. Curious if that means a lot more people will apply to avoid that. So wanted to how many points are others going to apply with and what track?

I'm going to try with 37-38 points to the full time program. Very stressed out about applying. Does anyone know if you turn in the application early if they contact you if your missing something ?

They will not contact you if you are missing something. It is best that you set up an appointment with the limited entry lady to review your application. You can go in to see her office or possibly setup a phone appointment if you don't have the extra time and/or transportation.

Thank you! When I talked to a advisor they told me it wasn't necessary to make an appointment with limited entry and that they would double check the application. So I think I'll an appointment with the limited entry lady too. Just to double check on everything. Thank you for replying! Are you in the program?

Just FYI in case you haven't seen them yet, there ARE at least 2 other posts about the Spring 2017 CSN program. ;) I'm applying to full time track with 34-35 points.

I haven't! I've only seen the posts that were created back 2015. I'll have to check them out

So I received an email on Tuesday from the teacher that teaches the CNA class about our orientation on July 27 and on the bottom of the email it noted that the CNA license is no longer a requirement. There will be some changes, but that's not one of them any more. I also called and spoke to two different people on two different occasions and they said the same thing. If you go to the csn nursing website you'll notice that the advisement sheet for Fall 2017 is under construction. It's been like that for about a month now. I hope they hurry before this semester starts so I can know if I have to take any other courses so I can apply to Fall 2017 in March. And I'd rather not take the CNA course if I don't have to. I'm pregnant and would like to sit this semester out. Besides that I have all of my pre-reqs done, teas, counseling etc. Just need to apply. I'll have 38 points for Fall application period.

There is currently a new director of nursing so it wouldn't surprise me if she's making changes already. She's an amazing nurse and instructor. She can be very hard and unreasonable at times but she is fair. That's why I love her.

Contact the administration gals in the nursing office in 106. If that's what they say also then it's probably true.

I heard this same thing last week.

It's confirmed... The CNA class will NOT be needed for 2017. I went to the CNA meeting this morning and they confirmed it's not required. It's going to be the same requirements as previous years. But it might still change for 2018. Fall 2017 her I come!!! Phew! That's sweat off my back. I can sit and enjoy a year of no school before it gets hectic with work, school and babies.
