CSN RN Spring 2013

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)

My info for community groups is right under my "courses" info on the left side of the page. You may have the community groups info hidden...if so you hover over the grayish bar that says "community groups" and hit the maximize button (little square with a thicker line on top) and the NSNA link should pop up. If you don't have access to the groups you may have to call the help desk, it may need to be enabled. Hope this helps!

Thanks, yeah, the community thing is there but the NSNA link isn't so I'll have to call to find out why...thanks so much for trying!!!!

Hello im sorry but what is angel? Did I miss something lolol What system is that? Is that new to csn , I been attending Nsc and never heard of angel please assist ... I see im gonna have to stay active in these forums! :-)

Angel is the online campus that CSN uses for most classes. Most of my professors have used it to post announcements, tests/quiz, documents and for communication. You can also communicate with your fellow classmates that way. It can be accessed on the CSN homepage on the link on the left that says "Online Campus/courses. I would recommend that you get it activated now. When they first rolled it out a few years ago I waited until the first day of school when there was a quiz due and I couldn't do it. Needless to say, I did not pass that quiz. If you have trouble the help desk people are there all the time to assist you.

Yes, I think they called it WebCT before. I used it many years ago when they called it WebCT but I don't remember if it was the same.

I am sure glad I found this post. I found out I was accepted last week, as everyone else was. I wasn't expecting the call...so I was surprised :) Anyway...I'm glad I found out about the tool box class...I'll be signing up for that on Nov. 2nd. See all of you at the orientation!

Congrats to all that got accepted. I am still working on prereqs and hope to apply march 1st. I see that 28 was the average points that were accepted. Did any of you have lower points (even the alternates)? Congrats again :)

I got my call on Oct 25th. I am so happy!!! See you all at orientation!

I believe there was someone who said they were an alternate and they had 24 points. I had 27....

Yb0978.. Thank you! 24 seems like a low number but that's more hopeful for me :)

Congrats to all of you! I got my call... I'm an alternate! Woo! I get to wait longer but I actually feel a lot better, my points were crap and I new that when I applied. Did anyone find out the total number of applicants (including late entries?) I'm not keeping my hopes up but that's cool, I can wait a little longer. Good luck with the program!!!

Neris... How many points did u have to be an alternate?

There were less applicants this semester than in previous semesters. Only 123 for full time and 25 I think for part time as of mid Sept. It made it a bit easier for all of us :) I'm going to email the LE office to find out if they have an official number of applicants and what the cutoff was. They actually extended the application deadline until 10/10 but I don't think any of us knew about it so I don't know how many more applications they took in after the original deadline...

I emailed the LE office...no official applicant count/point cutoff yet. She said they may know after orientation.
