Jul 26, 201214 yr Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)
Oct 27, 201213 yr There's a workbook for the Toolbox you can only buy from the bookstore, it's around $3 or 5. Just to give you an idea on cost of books, the 1st sem books are bundled around $600-800 thru the bookstore. Of course you can source online thru amazon, barnes, etc.., rent or get the e-books set.
Oct 27, 201213 yr It lists no books for the tool box course on MyCsn and the CSN bookstore website. I check in person next week though. Thanks!
Oct 27, 201213 yr Author I am sure they will let us know more about the classes and the signing up process at the mandatory orientation. I just signed up for the tool box class. No books for this one, but I am sure things are going to get pricey real soon! I also have to start looking at my vaccinations... I am going to have to have the chicken pox vaccination. Which toolbox class are you in?
Oct 27, 201213 yr I had to get the 12:00-2:40 one. I would have taken the later one, but I have class Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:00 on the Cheyenne Campus until 12/17.
Oct 27, 201213 yr Author Is anyone planning in being at school right at 12:30 on Wednesday to pick up the packet? I have to go to first thing because I work right after. I wouldn't mind meeting some of you there!

I wouldn't mind meeting some of you there! I have to volunteer at the elementary school for their Halloween party...i already had obligated myself before i found out about needing to get my packet...so i am going to have to wait til after i have been an appropriate chaperon for a bunch of hyped up 5th graders to head over to the campus to get my packet

It is only 1 credit so I don't know how much it will help you with your credits. And since it's split between Dec & Jan I don't know if the credit will count for Fall or Spring. Now I'm wondering (since MyCSN sent me threatening emails that I had to pay yesterday otherwise I would be dropped) if we have to pay again for the 2nd week....HmmmmmIf I were you I would take a fun class! I have always wanted to take something like astronomy or climatology just for fun but since I pay may own tuition the fun classes aren't really an option :/

I wouldn't mind meeting some of you there! I'm planning to be there about 12:30-12:45 because I'm doing a trunk or treat that evening! Hope to meet a few people as well!

What do you need it for? You can get a letter from registration, I believe, that states it is considered FT. the class load is so intense that I wouldn't suggest other classes. And the toolbox class teaches you the math we use and how to write care plans. very helpful, IMO!
