Hello all, I was hoping some of you could give me information pertaining to admission and pre req's for the nursing program at CSN. I currently live in CA, but I'm looking into applying for the nursing program in LV. How long did it take to get into the program? Is there a waitlist? how much is the program going to cost? anything else that you could tell me would be great. Congrats to all that have been admitted to the program, I hope to be there one day. :nurse:

The usual 8 credits for A & P I and II, Microbiology, Eng 101, Com. 101, etc. You need to apply as a student first, you don't need to declare your major (you can do that later), make sure you register for classes early. Most schools require the TEAS test now. As far as I know, there's no waiting list for most schools.

It is not expensive but the first semsester books are over $800. I got in on my first try. CSN is a point system no waiting list. The teas test is required. I recomend buying the review book and taking the practice Teas test online.

justme - I just bought a review book for the TEAS and was wondering where the practice test online is located? The book had a diagnostic test which was pretty helpful in pointing out my weak areas but I would love to do the practice test.

I will be moving to LV this summer and registering for Fall2010 classes next month, so I will be on campus (hopefully the west Charleston campus) in the fall a couple of days per week.

MMt4 this is the web site http://www.atitesting.com/home.aspx. You will need to create a user name and password, which you will need to remember, because it is the same one you will use when you go to take the real test and many other test to come once in the program.
