CRNA school?

Published

Hi everyone! I'm a freshman in college considering either med school or CRNA school. Can you tell me your experience with CRNA school? Can you work? Do the schools offer housing? Student loans, how you study, manage to live on your own, etc. Thank you!

How about you list some pros and cons of each through the research you've done thus far? Give us an idea of where you're coming from.

Doing a little research probably wouldn't be a bad idea. All schools are different. Try google.

I'm interested in hearing the experiences of those already in CRNA school. I'm considering it over medical school and would like to know what it's like for them.

You can work, but you will not be able to keep up your grades most likely, you can get student loans, normal expense is 80-140k for the duration of school, study the same way you do, live on student loans.

I gave you very bland and quick answers due to the Broad subject field, I would suggest going here Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to learn more and start your research. CRNA is a very rewarding career, but it is not easy to get into.

Your question is so broad. You need to list some schools your interested in. Some let you work part time, some don't. Some offer housing, some don't. Some offer certain financial help, some don't.

Maybe you should email Jane Fitch. She's been both a CRNA and MDA... I'm sure she'll give you an honest review of both... lulz.
