credits

I was just wondering how many credits one took at a time to finish their nursing classes in less than two years.

Specializes in Med/Surg, LTACH, LTC, Home Health.

For the ASN, I took two courses at a time at a community college while simultaneously studying for EC's nursing exams. This was from August 2009 until January 2010. EC's curriculum has changed quite a bit since then. The ASN program was all exams back then, no course versions to choose from. The key is to first, find out everything that you need to take. Secondly, place each course or exam on a calendar where you can visibly see the date in which you plan to take/begin that exam/course based on finances, timing, necessary personal obligations, job happenings, etc. Thirdly, begin your studies, and lastly, do NOT deviate from the schedule that you've made for yourself. Keep your deadlines, changing your exam dates only if absolutely necessary.

I took 4 to 5 classes a semester and worked 50 hours NOC shift.maintained a 4.0 too. You can do anything you want to as long as you make it a priority.
