Hey guys!! Is anyone applying to Central Piedmont RN for Spring 2017? The applications open today. I'm taking my Teas and Nurse Aide exam in 2 weeks and will be applying soon after. I hope to meet new people soon!

You are very welcome! Thank you for the kind words! I hope I get in too. Nursing is where my heart is so I'm staying optimistic either way! :)

I officially have a problem lol, I find myself checking my email like 20 times a day to see if I got in. On edge and just want to know already. I hope we all get in.

I'm right there with you lol.

Same here!! The anticipation....

Admissions says they have no new updates for us :-/

Anyone hear anything...this Friday will be the 5 week mark :-/. I'm just so ready to know.

I haven't heard anything thus far. I'm nervous. But if they go by a point system and they pick the top 50 applicants I don't know what is taking them so long.

That is what I'm saying! My guess is there are sooooo many applicants that they have to check to see if all of their credits transfer over. Also, to see if their cna and teas scores are legit. Lets face it, you can put anything down on paper, and i'm sure some people thought they could get away with lying. Also! And this is probably the biggest reason... TIED SCORES! I bet 50 people have the exact same score and there trying to figure out who is going to take that last spot. (I say we arm wrestle for it! jk lol) This is when recommendations letters come into play. OR.... there is not enough applicants who meet the minimal requirements. This happen at SPCC this year actually, there deadline date was January 31, but they moved it all the way to August. OR... Aliens OR... Big Foot OR... the Loch Ness Monster... took over the nursing staff... lol jk.

I emailed the admissions specialist Patricia and she is out of the office until next week. Looks like we may not hear anything today. I really don't get why it's taking long. Today is 5 weeks from the app deadline.

Just got an email from the dept dean and she said this has been the biggest application period in 10 years!! Reviews are done and notifications will be sent out next week.

What a relief. I think it is going to take an act of God for me to get in. O well, lets see what happens. Thanks for all your updates. Everyone on this blog, I wish the best for you.
