I was wondering if anyone else was considering applying to CPCC's ADN program next year? I saw on the website where the Spring 2015 deadline was extended, and was wondering if anyone knew why? Just a little surprised because they usually have a rush of applicants and high standards.

I too just noticed that it was extended! I wonder why as well but either way, it's good for me since I missed my TEAS appt due to work and now I can take it and apply! Good luck to you!

I am one of the Spring 2015 applicants and actually turned my application in before the original deadline. I was offered fall semester seat, but I turned that down due to financial reason. From what I learned, is that most of the applicants didn't meet the standard for this Fall of 2014 and Spring of 2015.

I wonder if it's because they no longer accept student loans on pell grants a lot of nursing students already have degrees and use loans for funding

Hi! I'm applying for the nursing program at CP for fall 2015. I wish I could apply now, but I still have a couple classes to finish up before starting nursing school (A&P II and Micro). I'd rather not take them in conjunction with nursing school. Also, I'm in a Nurse Aide class now, and won't have my certification until the end of the year. I wonder... if they need more students, if they'd be flexible?
I'm also surprised at the deadline change... seems very weird to me. I've always been told that there are too many applicants to begin with and that the chances of getting in are slim. Anyone else have info?

I don't have an inside scoop, but the fact that there are available seats is really great news. I was told that the SPCC program didn't have enough applicants to meet their criteria so they had to start the semester with less students than they could hold.
All the more motivation to get high grades in class and on the Teas. Good luck!
Did you apply for Spring 2015 at CPCC?
