Cover Letter Help

Hi everyone, I am a new graduate (RN) and i have been applying to numerous jobs but have not received any call backs :-(. So I thought that I should perhaps change my cover letter, i have read on numerous websites to make this cover letter unique and not just write a typical/generic letter, but I dont know exactly how to do that?where to begin?

Any cover letter advice?

    Does your school have a career center that you might be able to access as an alumni? That might be a great option for you if you do. I am no expert on cover letters so I am sorry that I do not have much more advice than that, but, I just wanted to say that I am a new grad as well and I struggled to find my first job. It took almost 2 months before I started receiving call backs and then finally landed a job. It's rough out there for us, but someone will give you a chance, eventually.

    Keep applying, keep positive, and be patient. It might not even be your cover letter that is the problem. It could just be that it is difficult to find work as a new nurse.

    I have a main cover letter, but I adjust it for different positions. I have a separate document where I have a few paragraphs that I change out as needed. The majority of the body stays the same, or gets minor tweaks here and there.

    I got licensed 2 months ago, and I got a few random per diem things fairly quickly, but I have my first hospital interview Monday.

    You can always post it on the resume forum (ALL identifying info removed!!), and we can take a look at what you have so far. Google some nurse cover letters to get some ideas of what to include and how to format.
