Do you all find that teachers seem to think policies don't apply to them?? I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard, "But I am a Teacher", and I am a Nurse, policy is policy even I have to follow it.

What policy did this teacher think he/she was exempt from?

I absolutely love when this carries over into medical territory. If I as the nurse cannot give Neosporin without a standing order and / or parent permission - what the heck makes you think that as a teacher, you can?????

So far it's all been our medication policies. They for some reason think I am just going to hand out non prescription and prescription drugs to their kids without proper documentation just because they are teachers!

When I start to lament the lack of ancillary at an independent private school, I can rejoice that we don't have tons of policies.
