COS Nursing Program Spring 2019

Published

So, is there anyone on here that has applied to the College of the Sequoias nursing program for the Spring 2019 cohort? If so, are you feeling confident about getting accepted?

I applied and I'm 50/50 on acceptance., is this your first time applying ?

Yeah, it's my first time. I tried to find something about our cohort on here and only found the past two cohorts talking about things. Based on what they were saying, I feel somewhat confident... only because some people were sharing the amount of points they were applying with and then replied later that they got in. I have a little more points than the ones who got in, but you never know! We're getting close to getting our letters, thankfully. Is this your first time?

Ok, yeah I've been looking at other cohorts too! As I don't see much for spring 2019 :/ it's my first time applying but I also applied at another jc letter are all expected to go out the same time. My points are a bit better than what I've seen as well. I think I have like a 69 with the teas .. I scored the minimum on teas :/ it was rough. But my science gpa is like a 3.3. How's yours look?

I know, right? Spring 2019 cohort seems shy so far... I've already seen a fall 2019 cohort facebook page! lol I didn't apply for another program, so fingers crossed. I think you have a pretty good shot with 69 points! Did you get points for being in the health field already? Since, I would think getting the minimum on the TEAS would mess your points up pretty bad.. I didn't want to take any chances, since I don't have any experience, whatsoever. So, I went crazy on the TEAS and got a 92 and got A's in the sciences... At least, if I don't get in, I know I did everything I could lol

Yes I've been in the healthcare field for the past 8 years plus I already have a degree etc so that point system def helped me out.. I got all A's in science accept 1 got a B+ :/.. do u stay near the school? Hopefully we both get in. This waiting game is driving me crazy!!

Good teas score btw :) I suck at testing my nerves gt the best of me and the time clock lol

Oh Wow, 8 years!! Amazing! I get pretty intimidated by the thought of being in class with a bunch of people with experience.. Those darn B+'s are the worst, who was your teacher for that one? haha and how did you guess I'm near cos!? I guess it's on the list of top reasons why I wouldn't want to go anywhere else lol I do hope we both get in! I'll definitely be on here to let you know when I get my letter. This is the hardest time I've ever had waiting for something. :(

I took a&p at Azusa pacific univ. And in A&P I got a B+, I live 45 min from the school so I've applied other places like Lancaster antelope valley. I also have all my classes done as if I was going to the BSN program because that's the route I was going until I took the teas and didn't score so well. Yes, I will keep you updated as well. Positive vibes and thoughts in the air lol with this waiting game.

Ooh ok, yes, tests that big are bound to break people.. and I'm sorry you live so far away, such a drag to have a long commute. Yes, positive vibes!!! thank you for sharing!! :D

I have been trying to comment on this but had forgot my password. I have been waiting forever it feels like as well. I heard there was a lot of applicants, so i tried calling to ask how many people applied and got voicemail. anyone else happen to have called to ask them? I got an 82 on my TEAS and all As and two Bs i believe on my sciences. I dont have prior experience so that kinda of lower my overall score, but im super nervous. based on other posts i found they had received their letters last year about the end of september and not october 1. so guess well see.

Great teas score! I think you should be good w/ that and ur science GPA. I have a lower teas but pretty good science GPA & work experience etc. I think given the field all school programs have high number of applicants.. I see other applying for years before getting in. I hope this isn't the case for us:) is this the only school you applied to ??
