cook county jail

Hey! Anyone know how to get a job at cook county jail as a Cna, LPN or nurse? Does the jail even hire CNA's or LPN's? If anyone knows a good website where i can find out can you tell me! Thanks

I worked as a C.O for 13 years there, I know for sure there are LPN's and RN's. Not sure about CNA's, though. Contact human resources at Cook County building, downtown. Goodluck

Brandylove----that's awesome! Where are you at with nursing school? Just beginning or ending or somewhere in the middle? Also, do you think you will work back at cook county as a nurse or are you kinda sick of the scene?!? How interesting. I actually was thinking about going to school for social work, then becoming a juvenile officer but i think nursing is the better way to go! Listen, thanks for the replies, and good luck to you! Let me know how things go.:yeah:

Im currently going into my 2nd year in the ADN program. I do not desire to be a nurse at the CCDOC. I am very tired of the scene. Goodluck to you though.

Funny I did run into two officers there that hung up there RN caps to become correctional officers. Both said that they were burned out. Go fiqure.
