Continuing Nursing Education...

Hi everyone!

My name is Kriani. I have graduated Everest College as a Medical Assistant. I am now working for a NUCCA Chiropractor, and am now ready to continue my education. I REFUSE TO CONTINUE TO WORK FOR SOMEONE HELPING THEM BUILD THEIR DREAMS WHEN I NEED TO START BUILDING MY OWN. Located here in Las Vegas, NV. I took Everest College's Nursing Wonderlic and Hesi Exam back in 2010, after receiving my GED here in Las Vegas.. Missed by only a few percent. Not too sure if I would like to continue my education in Nursing at Everest College. Considering, I am interest in pursuing Registered Nursing.. Can anyone please give me some advice, or direction to a college with a legit Nursing Program? I'm thinking Nevada State. Therefore, I won't have to move anywhere away from my immediate family. However, I'm willing to travel. Although, colleges and programs that are recommended and located here in NV would be preferable. Any and all insight is appreciated.

Thank you, so much!

Best regards,

KP

Start with the Nevada BoN website for a list of board approved schools and their NCLEX pass rates. Contact schools near you for admission requirements.

I think maybe you need to scratch Everest off your list - As of this week, their parent corporation (Corinthian) has gone belly-up and their schools are closing. ( One of the worst for-profit college chains is about to go out of business - Vox) They have always been very shady, and this has led to their demise.

At this point, it is uncertain whether the campuses will remain open with new buyers or simply close. At any rate, they won't (shouldn't?) be enrolling new students.
