I am very torn, I just graduated LVN school in July sitting for boards on friday and have already gotten hired by a LTC/Assisted living facility so far so good I would say....However I am torn I wanted to start ISU program in December LVN-BSN. After reading so many threads about nurses not being able to find jobs its making me scared to go further picking up loads of debt and time on the way...Any advice at all would be very helpful from everyone.

How long is the LVN-BSN track? Can you work while going to school?
It will take anywhere between 2-3.5 years depending on how quick a pace I move at, and yes I can work and go to school all the classes are online will only have to physically go in once clinicals start.

I just graduated from nursing school in June, and was lucky enough to find a job! Only two of us out of 30 have found jobs, many places do not hire new RNs or they want a year experience at minimum. However to job market it suppose to turn around, so by the time you are a BSN there will more then likely be more jobs! I would go for it!! Many of the older LVN i know wish they went to nursing school! You will be ahead of the game in your nursing program as well because of your experience as an LVN. I would go for it! Good luck!
