Continuing Education

I am doing a presentation to a class of ADN students about nurses furthering their education. I would love feedback on how many nurses plan on continuing their education. If not, I would like to know why? Do you plan on being at the same job in 5 years, 10 years, and do you think furthering your education is worth it?

You are the cream of the crop. It's the nurses like yourself who have gotten me where I am today. You have the hands on experience as a CNA. You know what hard work is!!! I have had the honor to work with some of the most intelligent and bright LPN's who I will never ever be as good as. I will graduate on May 2, 2008 from my RN program and in August of 2008, will start my BSN. I pray that I will be half as good as some of the LPN's who had been there, and done it all. I work with a women who has been a LPN for 36 years and she wears her nursing hat each and every day with pride. As she should, thank God for LPN's and bless you for the job that you do.
