CT Pixie, BSN, RN 3,723 Posts Has 10 years experience. Oct 25, 2011 I think the rationale given pretty much sums it up. Like the rationale states, you have no info that suggest a decreased cardiac output. The BP is higher than the norm but its not that crazy as well as the heart rate and respiration. Pain will cause those vitals to all go up vitals causing futher issues. So, pain is the correct answer.

Oct 26, 2011 Always assume the WORST, the patient is having radiating pain down the left arm, THINK heart attack.......NCLEX is basic content, it knows that you are a new nurse, and you need to be a safe practitioner..........if you can, get the HURST REVIEW, she really helps you to focus on exactly what NCLEX is looking for.I hope this helps.......keep is mind, you have to take each question separately.......pain may be the highest priority in this question, but may not be for another.......each question must be approached subjectively.

findingimladris 1 Post Nov 9, 2011 Does anyone know where to get the NCLEX 4000 online for free? I know this question has been asked a million times, but I'm a full time job-working, full time student and i'm too tired to go to the school computer labs...
