Hi Everyone!

I graduated March,2008 from Philippines with my BSN degree. I am now living in California where I have my work authorization and recently approved my green card. I'm beginning to prepare to take NCLEX and recently found out that I have to take TOEFL prior to taking the NCLEX. My question is, which would benefit me most? first, take a English as a Secondary Language(ESL) at my local community college or take a TOEFL Practice online and take the test?...If I do take ESL at my local college would I still have to take the TOEFL test before I'm allowed to take NCLEX?

THANKS AND ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

Yours,

Nina

From your writing, you seem to have a terrific command of English. I think you should go ahead and take the TOEFL and see how you do. If you have deficiencies, then you can take the courses that you need. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Tom
