Condition on license

Hello everyone!

I applied for my first permit 7 months post graduation, I had a condition placed on it by the BON. They need an employers reference after so many hours to prove good character, competency and safety. The BON told me this is a standard condition placed on all graduates who apply after 6 months post graduation.

Will this condition affect my job prospects? And how do I handle this situation with a potential employer (when do I tell them, etc).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank youu!

Guilty until proven innocent?

I mean, the very fact you have a license issued to you in the first place, means you have already been cleared as a person of good character, competency and safety.

To repeat this qualification process just makes the BON look like they don't have any idea what they are doing.

An employer in your state would know this, I would hope. I don't think it should make you unhireable, it just makes them have to send a letter down the road. It's not like recovery where there is narc restrictions etc.
