Concepts that are different today than in 1961.

I'm writing a paper and have read the article a few times. Maybe I don't understand what my professor might be asking. I'm not sure who's read the article, but could someone give me an example of one concept so I'm not in the dark?

My paper asks me to answer this question. . .

Analyze the article written by Corwin. Identify concepts in the article that are different today than they were in 1961 when this article was written. How do the article concepts apply to nursing today and what does that mean for your practice?

Sorry cant get to this article, link requires sign in. Please post what you have so far....Even without reading the article, I can tell you that dialysis is far different now then 1961. Nurses have more autonomy and responsibility nowadays also.

link not working. I would list all the tasks/decisions the nurse in the article had to make then see how they compare to what nurses do now. Bet nurses are now doing a LOT more.

I agree with Trauma.....without the article it's impossible to answer. SOOOOOO much has changed. Give us what you have so far and we'll be happy to help.

Tasks are only ...tasks. Look at the philosophy behind the autonomy aspects. I can't open it either but would really be interested in what's in it and what you think about it. (This is code for, "We can't do all your work for you.")
