Complications of falls

So I understand that falls can cause fractures, but I can't seem to link the relationship of falls causing pneumonia? is it b/c the patient can become immobile after a fall? How can a fall cause C.diff. Can someone explain please explain this to me? :uhoh3:

Falls would be a complication of c.diff as the patient is in a weaker condition.

Bronchial pneumonia and pressure damage to the skin are all possible complications of a fall in someone unable to get up at once.

Immobility after the fall could cause pneumonia.

Antibiotics to treat the pneumonia put the patient at risk for contracting C.Diff.

That's the best I've got.

Along with the immobility, rib and/or spinal fractures cause impaired respiration....
