Completion time?

Hi. I am waiting on response from my school to know if I got accepted to the nursing program. My situation is a little different than most. I completed all my pre req and general Ed courses. Based on program course requirements, all I would have left to complete are the nursing courses. That would 6 classes. Can I complete that in less than 2 years or do I have to stretch it out for the 2 years?

Please help! I really don't want to waste my time if I can do it in less. Also, I've already taken the Teas V.

    It depends on the program and when the courses are offered/if they are co or pre-requisites for each other. For example, I had to take Med-Surg 1 before I could take psych.

    I think that's a question you will have to pose to the school itself.

    Generally speaking, certain courses are only offered at certain times, and in succession. Example would be Foundations being first semester, must be satisfactorily completed before moving on to Med-surg. Successful completion of that before moving onto the next part of the curriculum....and typically the last part of the last semester being the 'Grand Finale' of coursework and clinicals.

    I know that's a bit vague, sorry, but the idea is that you can't take all the courses together because they are designed to PROGRESS through the program, not run concurrently.

    Still, talk with the school and see what your options may be.

    From the programs I researched, you have to complete them during the listed semesters with the rest of the class. The good news would be that you would have a lighter course load though :)
