OMG!! I'm having the same issue with a delay of my drug test and I'm also currently taking Claritin D because I have terrible spring allergies. I considered that could possibly be a reason because it's not over the counter but that is absolutely crazy. They have not reached out to me and it's been a week.

I'm just looking for a program that's going to be able to work with a working nurse schedule. Good luck with everything, we made it!!!!

I'm done!!! Last Tuesday was my pinning ceremony and it hasn't even quite sunk in yet. Ordered my books go start preparing for nclex. I'll be applying to test soon. Already looking for BSN and MSN programs.

I'm in med surg (adult health) now. We've had 2 test so far, psych got an A, and med surg, completely failed. I have one more Med surg test and then my final. I really need some study tips. I've really just been barely passing my nursing tests, that's my only A since being in nursing school. Can you guys please suggest some tips to help me pass these next 2 test? I would really like to get As for the remainder of this semester. We're doing Cardiovascular and Respiratory disorders right now.

So I passed my first semester of nursing school and second semester begins the 18th. I'm so excited and ready to kick some medsurg butt!!!

We finally received our date for orientation. It's September 1st and 2nd. Classes begin on the 8th. I'm so excited. I've already started some reading using Nursing fundamentals demystified and Fundamentals success. I'll keep you all updated on how I'm liking the books. So far so good though. For those who've started school already, how's it going?

I recently ordered a Nursing Fundamentals Demystified book. I read a lot of great reviews on the Davis Fundamentals Success book and I'm interested in purchasing. I want to get these books to prepare for my classes while I have time over the summer. Semester begins in September. Anyway, I don't want to spend too much on prep stuff since I'm still going to have to purchase supplies and books when school starts. Is it okay if I purchase the older edition Fundamentals Success book? The newest edition is 2015 and the previous edition is from 2011. Please Help.

I found these really comfy walking shoes at Nordstrom rack from easy spirit w/ memory foam for $40. It was in black but since I have recieved my detailed supply list I chose not to buy it. Look around there are pretty good deals out there when it comes to shoes. If you live close to a Marty's shoes store, they tend to have very good quality and comfy shoes. Happy hunting!

I really don't want to spend too much money because I do plan on cutting back on work hours, but if I must I guess I'll go with the Littmann. I just purchased the Nursing demystified for Dummies book off of amazon (used) for $13. I read a lot of good reviews about it, it will my remainder of the summer reading so I can get a head start. When it comes to anything math, I always recommend khan academy. The explanations are great and it's free. As far as books go, try B&N and look for books on conversions. If you get practice books and use it in conjunction with khan academy online it should be a really good prep. Good Luck! Keep us updated.

I'm so happy I found this thread. I have orientation next month, August, and start classes first week of September. I was hoping to start some studying so I don't get overwhelmed and intimidated when classes begin. I'm super excited and can't wait to start. I hope we can all keep updating as we continue or journey to becoming a Nurse. We get our suppy list at orientation and we also have to purchase a complete uniform from the school, so I'm a bit hesitant to buy anything if I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it. I am thinking about purchasing the Littmann stethoscope though. What books should I use to prepare? Any suggestions?

Hi. I am waiting on response from my school to know if I got accepted to the nursing program. My situation is a little different than most. I completed all my pre req and general Ed courses. Based on program course requirements, all I would have left to complete are the nursing courses. That would 6 classes. Can I complete that in less than 2 years or do I have to stretch it out for the 2 years? Please help! I really don't want to waste my time if I can do it in less. Also, I've already taken the Teas V.
