Compact State

Hi everyone,

I had a question about being able to work, specifically with a travel agency [in a temporary manner away from the home state].

If I reside in a compact state, such as Maryland, and would like to work in another compact state, such as CO would I be able to just pick up and go, or do I need to apply for a multistate license?

Your Maryland license should automatically confer multi-state privileges. Look up your license at your board of nursing or through NURSYS if MD participates, and see if it says "multi-state" or "compact privileges". As long as it says that, then yes, you can go to Colorado and work.

Yes I think it is considered a multi state. Because If you live in Maryland as I do too, we can work in Deleware as thats a compact state as well

As previous posters have stated, yes, you can,;as long as you maintain legal residence in the state of MD.

Best wishes.
