I am a new graduate nurse and I was offered a position in the ED at a community hospital and I was also offered a position in the telemetry/medsurge unit at Kaiser. The pros of the community hospital is the ED department, where I want to be and will be able to gain valuable experience. The pros of Kaiser is the pay/benefits, with the opportunity to transfer to different units in the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to have the option to start either in the ED or at a larger institution such as Kaiser as a new graduate. However, the problem is I am stuck and am unable to decide on which offer I should accept. My near future goal is to become a nurse practitioner. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
