Does anyone have a projected Commissioning upcoming? I do and am told that I have to wait for "scroll approval" from Congress.
How long doe this process take? I have been told of my COT date and where I will be stationed but, no Commissioning as of yet.
Thanks for any help

Getting "scrolled" all depends on congress. They have to approve your commisioning before you can be commissioned.
Yeah... i am just wondering when I will get the news. some ppl seem to get the news faster than others on MEPS/ Application approvals/ COT...commissioning etc...
So, now that I am seeing some people recieving their green light for Commissioning, I am starting to look for mine.
I am looking forward to this...obviously:up:

A lot of this has to do with timing. Theoretically, your recruiter should have put your name on the scroll at the beginning of your application process, because scroll and security clearance take the longest to do. I think my scroll took about 6 months, but it was done as the very first step in my app process which totaled 8 months.
Thanks. That is helpful. Your process sounds like it went smoother than most people

I commissioned into the Army Reserves last May. My recruiter told me it takes about 45-60 days for the scroll to be approved...then another 45-60 days to generate appointment orders. That's about how it went too.
Wow !Well...looks like the AF will have to reschedule me from the 28feb cot Thanks for the info.I got accepted 1dec2011
If you are scheduled for 28 Feb you should be OK. You might not get your orders etc. until the last minute but as long as you have a date they will try their hardest to make sure it is kept.
