You are talking with your client about his changed insulin regime. His new prescription is Humulin 70/30 U-100 insulin, 50U SC at supper. You will tell him that he will be getting:Answer: 35U of Regular insulin and 15U of NPH insulin
Answer: 35U of Regular insulin and 15U of NPH insulin
Could someone help me on how you get that answer?

70/30 insulin is 70% NPH and 30% regular. The answer you have listed is wrong, which may be why you can't understand. (The correct answer is 35 units of NPH and 15 units of regular).
Also, a related topic- never write U for units- that is an unacceptable abbreviation as it can be easily confused for another symbol.

50 units X .7= 35; 50 units X .3= 15
