Collaborative testing?

Does anyone else do collaborative testing in their schools - you take the test on your own first and then get assigned to work with another student and do another scantron and then get your scores averaged for a max of like 3 - 5 points back on your test? I hate this. I do well so far on my exams and I feel like I just have other students mooching off of my work and study time. I don't mind helping other people study or relating what I have learned at all - I just don't like being forced to help someone else pass a test that hasn't read the last eighteen chapters and skated by off the work of the person who did read all the chapters and spent about 12 - 14 hours of her life doing so. I am just wondering if anyone else goes through this and what they think of it. Thanks!

we dont have to do this and that sounds horrendous!

The fact that you are assigned to these people and your grade is affected by it is super annoying.

I would rather have the choice of who I help because like you I study so much. It's one thing to help someone who studies so hard and continues to struggle, but it is entirely another to help someone who doesnt read or study. The only help they need is a swift kick in the behind :)
