Well,
I registered for my 1st exam but I'm too scared to schedule a date!!!! I got a free practice exam and looked over the content outline then took exam A to know where I am (I have been lightly studying for several weeks). I'm trying to study and be motivated but truth be told...I'm not all that excited to make this part of the journey my life again. Nursing School is pretty brutal...the only thing I can really compare it too is divorce. (as in complete lifestyle change for everyone and added stress)
I'm ready to be a grownup! I'm ready to do what it takes to become a nurse! I just think my whole experience in traditional school took the wind out of my sails you know?
Anyone else have this issue?
thanks,

ok you have taken the most important step..registering. you are scared because you don't really know what to expect of these test...right ...okie dokie now it is time for you to take the practice test that ec offers for this test ($60) . this will give you a round about idea of what the real test is like and you can get a good feel for it. once you get going you will build your confidence and get your organizational skills together before long you will knock these puppies out....then you can wait with me for a cpne date...
go for it and good luck

Its okay, I felt the same before I started EC, but once you get started, make a plan stick with it, when get frustrated we will be here to help you, dont give up...you can do it without a doubt...find your pace and work with it! :), we all get blow away at times but persistence, persistence makes a good nurse (this is what Ive been told over, over) urghhh, um!

Once you get the first one out of the way, you'll want to knock them out as quickly as humanly possible. It's just getting over that hump that is hard! What was your practice exam score, by the way?
I got a 60 I really thought I'd do a little better...but....when I read through the correct answers some of the ones I missed were careless and others made me think "wow, I really need to study that"
I've been just reading chapters as my studying....I started making flashcards but not quite sure how to go about it all....I haven't really adopted a study style I feel like I can be successful with.
it's hot in phoenix

hello momofqc,
I agree with when you get started, it gets a little easier. I swear by the practice tests, I used EC study guides and the practice test, but rest assured on your score, I only got one passing score on mine:(:(, I did 2 for each exam and got all a's and b's on the actual test. After I took the practice test, I simply memorized the question and answers. Good luck to you and your going to do great:yeah::yeah: donna
