Who is applying for COC's Fall program?

I am currently waiting to get my approval form - I sent it in over a month ago so I hope I hear soon!

Yaaaay! If this is the only lottery i ever win, i will be more than OKAY with it! Hahahaha. Who needs the mega millions when you can get into nursing school lol! Good luck!

Does anyone know roughly how many students they take for the program? I got my letter also stating that a letter will be sent out mid april

I was wondering the same. I have no idea. I will call them on Monday and let you know what they say and post on this conversation.

I have a friend in 1st semester now and he said about 50 accepted each semester give or take.... Did they say they will send you a letter or email you if your accepted? my email said I would receive an email

The email i received stated we would be notified via email.

Hi guys I also applied for COC Fall 2014 Nursing program. :) I was first sent a ineligibility status because of my HS Diploma, but I originally had attached it so then they sent me a TEAS test invitation for April 2nd at 8am , but I just sent them my first test score, I later received an email that I am eligible for the selection and that IF I am selected there is a Mandatory Orientation on April 25th, gosh guys I know I am not the only one super impatient and biting my nails everyday , I just really want to know already !!! AHHH :woot:I'm going crazy.

Ya, You definitely are not the only one. Since this is a lottery selection program, im nervous but then again calm at the same time. Nothing i can do you know? If i get randomly selected, i would be jumping for joy! If not, then oh well. Will try again next time :). Did you apply to other programs?

Yay! I hope we all get picked!

Hey Excited1, yes I figured if I don't get picked this time maybe next time, and they have the csun ben bridge program opportunity for Spring applicants, I live close to Csun so I would love that! Yes I applied t Moorpark and Pierce college as well even though COC is my top choice because I have been going there for 3 years and I just love it.

Hello omgonlyinstilettos!

Yeah the diploma thing was def a hassle but at least it is over with now.! Did you apply anywhere else?

Excited1: Did you apply anywhere else??

My thoughts exactly. The CSUN bridge program is nice. I also applied to LA County. They have the same collaboration BSN program but through CSULA. Those are the only two i applied to. I like that LA County goes off of a point system, not lottery. But, COC has a good program and i live only a mile from there. At the end of the day, its the same degree. COC is significantly less expensive than County. Either way, i just hope to get in to either of those programs. Its nice COC will notify us mid-April. County doesnt notify until end of May or mid-June. The wait is brutal!
