I've applied for a CNA job in a nursing home yesterday. They called me back this morning and asked if I was interested. The problem is I haven't too my state-board to get licensed, but she told me to call her after I take the test because it wouldnt matter if I passed or failed that my name with a number would pop up? Would I be on the registry if I fail?

Your name will be on there only if you pass. It's a public database. You just type in your first and last name.

Depending on where you live, you can become listed as a "nursing assistant, registered" and legally work for 90 days after you pass your CNA course. After you pass your state test you then become a "nursing assistant, certified". That's how it is in Washington. At my work, we often recruit NARs who did their clinicals there and they work before they take their state exam.
In Oregon, you are only listed on the state registry after you pass your state exam to become a CNA. However, in Oregon you are not required to be licensed in certain types of facilities, like assisted living.
You are only listed in the registry if you have passed your tests, not if you failed.

CNAs are aloud I think 3 months on floor before being "certified"
