CNAs are most often utilized in long-term care, but they also have a place in home health and hospice as well as hospitals. Some work in freestanding surgery centers as techs. Others become resident assistants and medication aides in assisted living facilities. So you really do have more opportunities than just LTC and med/surg.

How do CNAs get into jobs that like Med-surge? I applied for a position for night shift full time without experience and got denied today via email.
The position did say "no experience required--some preferred". I have none so I figure.
Is nursing skill facility the only dominate place a CNA can get a job at?
