CNA Classes

Hello Everyone!!

I am having a REALLY hard time finding CNA classes. I want to work as one before going into NS in the spring while I take prereq's. Are there any classes for free? If not, where do you recommend going? Are LTC facilities a good choice? I am sorry, I am so clueless

Any help is much appreciated.

why, yes I do! Can I take the CNA test at Ivy Tech? Do I have to schedule it? Only two weeks left of class and I need a job! :nurse:

I need one too. Go to the nursing office and tell them that you are interested in CNA certification. They have photocopies of the brochure you will need. There is a number to call and I called and they said that they offer the tests just about everyday in the Indianapolis area. You will need an official transcript with a C or better in Fundamentals (which I am sure you have, cuz if you didn't they would have thrown you out of the program). Then there is an application to fill out (call the number and they will point you to it). Then you send it all in and they give you a test date. I am not scheduling mine until after finals (I have enough to study!). Good luck.

OH, I wish I was a nursing student! I am still taking pre-req's :( However, I will remember that when I finally get there:rolleyes:

You will get there! Just keep plugging away at those classes!:redbeathe

This thread is dated, however "Garden Villa" was mentioned on it. Does anyone know what the work environment is like there? Thanks.
