Jul 17, 201411 yr Here, we have an abundance of MA positions available. The thing is you need to get certified or registered within 3-6 months after hire & have some type of experience besides your externship. I got my foot in the door to a huge institution by working as a Temporary MA right after school. That little bit of experience got me hired into a permanent full time position with awesome benefits & retirement.
Aug 5, 201411 yr I started out at 10.50 and was at that job for 2 1/2 years and was at 12.50 when i left. I started at 12.50 at my current job and have been here for 3 yrs and make 13.44. It really depends on where you are and you may be able to negotiate.
Dec 14, 201411 yr I'm not sure which part of the country you live in, so I don't know how helpful this will be. But here goes: I live in Colorado. I started out at $14.50/hour in a specialty office, and two years later ended up at $15.79/hour. I just recently accepted a position at an urgent care office, part of a local hospital, and am starting at $15.35/hour with a $2 differential after 3 p.m.Edit: I'm an RMA, if that helps..
