Okay so I just found out last weekend that I got into the ADN program for the fall! I am so excited and so nervous all at the same time! On one side its like "yes!" I am finally in! Two years and I can be done with school! On the other side its like ok so how can I afford this. If anyone has any advice on the school part or the financial part please gimme a holler!

hmmm...oh boy, try to get loans. I had to do that to get through school. With this harsh economic crisis it can be really hard to get loans, but you can only try.

I start my pre-req's for the ADN in August:yeah:. I am "Geeked"- (excited and nervous) As well. I am scared of the required GPA to get into the acual nursing program but excited to hurry up and get this truck on the road. I can't wait to be an RN. I tell everyone the only thing I can do now is pray, Pray and study:bowingpur. :typing :bowingpur :typing:bowingpur................

Well... Affording it probably is the most stressful part. I got myself some grants which helps out alot. Fill out your FAFSA and financial aide will be given to you maybe. Just study your hardest and you will do good. Try not to think so much about affording it.. you have the rest of your life to get a job and pay everything back...

CONGRATS for getting in

Grants and Loans, that's pretty much the reason I'm able to go to school. Unfortunately the downside of that is that I can hardly work even during the summer months because if I make enough money to file for taxes, all that lovely money goes down the drain. So it's definitely awful to be dependent on financial aid but sometimes it's the only choice. What did help me out is that I got more grants and scholarships because of my GPA. So the higher the GPA, sometimes the higher the financial aid. I've still got two more years to go and still waiting to see how the heck I'm going to cover that.
