I recently moved from N.J. to the wonderful state of N.C. Prior to my move I started the lpn-bsn online program at ISU. Well now it is time for clinical and I can not find any facility in the Triad area that is willing to let me do my clinical hours. I have never worked in N.C and I know very few people- we have only been here since Sept. Any suggestions or advice would be very, very much appreciated. The deadline is approaching soon and at 40 years old I am not willing to waste any more time!!!!

Hmm - how about contacting ISU and see if they have any suggestions.?
One of the many things I have done. They suggested I make the 12 hour trip to Indiana and I could do the clinical there. Not exactly the way the College Network presented the program to me. They told me they would find me a clinical location.

You could try Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Hi,
Sorry I can't help you with your question..but just wanted to let you know that I am an LPN from NJ also and I will be moving to Greenville, NC in a couple of months....It is a beautiful state....how do like it so far? I have 2 cousins living there and they just love it...can't wait to move...I am a little anxious though, about finding a job there...I know they pay less than here, I am expecting that, but I just wonder about the pay scale..anyway Congrats to you and Good Luck!!

Contact the state board of nursing for NC and get their input on your options. I would not hold my breath expecting a workable solution that will not require lots of extra effort on your part. Good luck.

Let me suggest you post also in the distance learning forum. https://allnurses.com/forums/f125/
Also contact the NC Nurses Association. They may have information about someone who does this for distance learners.
