What kind of program are you in?
What are you taking now?
What are you taking next?
What have you loved?
What have you hated?
Has anything surprised you?
What are your hopes after you graduate?
I'm in a BSN program, taking psych and maternity right now. Next semester will be community, leadership, a seminar, and internship.
I have loved psych. Actually, that's the thing that has surprised me! I hated med surg. Honestly I'm just not built for it. I don't have patience for self-imposed illnesses when so many people never are given a shot at what the rest of us would consider "health".
I'm just hoping for a job when I graduate, if you want to know the truth. It's complicated with chronic conditions. If is been diagnosed before starting school, I probably would not have chosen nursing. But I was already in the program and I'm too stubborn to abandon a goal. :)
My love is maternity and peds, but is quickly growing to include psych. So hopefully where I end up will include one of those things.

I'm in my last semester of pre reqs right now, and I start my BSN program in January. I'll be taking nursing research, pathophysiology, assessment, concepts, and interventions. My dream is to work in the NICU at the university of Michigan. I need experience first, so I'll take what ever I can get after graduation.
