Class question at wallace state

Published

Hi Everyone!! I Will Be Starting In Spring 09 at Wallace State. Does Anyone Think It Is A Good Idea To Take Nur 103(health Assessment) And Nur 104(intro To Pharmacology) On The Same Day?

:nurse: Hey. That's a great question. I took both on the same day and boy was it crazy. I am in my 3rd semester at Wallace. I love it up there. Great school. I enjoyed the health assessment class, but the pharm class was very difficult for me. I didn't really have to study for the health assessment. I ended up passing the pharm class with a B. Thank goodness. It was a lot of math and I had a hard time with that part. It can be done, but it takes a lot of study time. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for the info. I'm still trying to consider if I want to take them the same day. I think I will be able to do it but I just wanted someone else opinion that was already in nursing school. Can you give me some info of what to expect for wallace nursing program? I have heard that it is a really good school but hard work.

This is my 1st semester at Wallace. I transfered from another school. I am in the 3rd semester and love it. I think it is a great school. Nursing is very hard, but it can be done. Since it's my 1st semester there, I am still learning the program. They seem very organized and seem to have it all together. The instructors are great. All of them. They really want to help you. If you don't understand they are willing to stay and help. I wish I could tell you more, but like I said I am still learning everyone there. Good luck to you. Let me know if I can help you. :nuke:

Would you say Wallace is harder than your other school? Also, if I may ask what school did you attend before Wallace?

I ask b/c a girl at work failed Wallace twice and she says that I would never make it there. It doesn't really matter tho bc im about to graduate in May from Jeff State!

I went to Snead State before transferring to Wallace. I think Snead is a little harder. As you know, nursing school is not easy wherever you go. But I really like it at Wallace and have learned far more than I did at Snead. It seems that Wallace State tests are easier to understand than Snead. How long has it been since your friend failed out of Wallace? If you don't mind me asking? I am in my 3rd semester of nursing. Congratulations on graduating soon. I hope this helps. :D

She failed out last semester and a year ago (last fall semester.)

Nursing school was really hard the first 2 semesters but it is so easy now.

Hello everyone,

I am preparing for my last two pre-req classes: micro and anatomy II. If I don't make an A on each, I doubt I will get into Jeff State.

Does anyone know what the cutoff points were for Fall 08 or Spring 09 at Wallace?

Are there any students driving to Wallace from Bham?

Thanks for the info and good luck to everyone!

I'm not sure what the cutoff points were but I think I had 179 and that was because my microbiology class wasn't included in it when I applied. And I will be driving to Wallace from Birmingham

Please let me know what you think of WS. What are classes/subjects like compared to other college courses? What is NUR 104/math like?

What is your schedule? Do you drive in every day?

Thanks for your answers.
