how many circulators is recommended for a heart bypass?...how about for emergency cardiothoracic cases?

They use one circulator per case in my hospital. However, many times other circulartors/ managers/ surgeons will help at the beginning of an emergency case until the surgery is underway.

Usually if it is a posted case and not an emergency there are only 1 circulator..But if its an emergency and there is staff then there may be some people to help..But if you are working midnights then there is only 1 because there isnt any staff there to help. Like midnights at my hospital there is only a tech and a nurse..
