Chronic appendicitis?!

I have what is probably a stupid question concerning GI. Can you have a "chronic appendicitis", that flares up at times, and symptoms decrease or disappear before having to undergo surgery, pain, nausea, ect?

I know that you would have to eventually have surgery, but wasn't sure if it could appear as above?

Thanks, sorry about the stupid questid question!

Anne, RNC

Not a stupid question at all. It is rare, but it does happen. The only definitive way to tell is with an appy, though.

Check with alternative practitioners, too.
