CHOP externship 2015

Hey! I also applied to the CHOP externship!! I was wondering if you've heard anything or gotten an email since your interview? And what unit did you interview for?

Hi! I haven't heard anything yet since the interview! I'm still waiting for the reference step to be emailed to complete that. I interviewed on the 4west seashore house. What about you?! Waiting over a month to find out is so hard!

Nice!! That's a great unit. A few of my friends had their clinical rotation there! I interviewed for 8 South! Okay same, I haven't had the reference step emailed to me either yet. I hope we'll find out soon!

I hope we find out soon too!! Do you know anyone else who interviewed there? I'm from the area but I don't go to school here so I'm nervous that not having any clinical's at CHOP is a big disadvantage for me. I guess I just have to hope for the best! 50/150 are terrifying odds!

I just know other people who interviewed from my school! Don't worry, that's definitely not a disadvantage! I wouldn't worry too much about it. Yeah, the odds aren't great but we should be proud that we even made it to the interview! I thought my interview went really well but I was told that only two people were going to be hired on the floor I interviewed for which makes me so nervous!

I am extremely grateful to even have been selected for an interview! Definitely something we should be proud of! 4west seashore was the same , 2 externs. I thought my interview went fairly well.. I get so nervous and speak so fast! I hope we find out earlier than March 27.

Did you guys get the reference email yet??

I applied for the CHOP externship too and I haven't gotten the reference ema yet... Have you?

Thanks for responding! Glad to know I'm not alone. Just getting a little worried cause I was under the impression that we would know if we got the externship the 27th, but maybe they meant the reference email.

Hi futureRN! So did you apply to CHOP as well, but ultimately chose CHOA? Congratulations, that's a great hospital as well!! :)
